The weather here is insane. It never goes below about 70 and so far hasn’t climbed above 80. The sun seems to shine all the time, even when the rains pass through, which is about every hour. And if you drive around the island, you’ll likely encounter three of four different weather systems before you’ve driven even five miles.
With so much misty rain and shining sun, it’s no wonder rainbows are on the license plates, for they appear in the sky like migrating birds.
Speaking of birds, we took a trip to the northern end of the island yesterday to see an old lighthouse, a bird sanctuary, some beautiful beaches, and some amazing caves. I snapped some great shots, only to realize later that I left my compact flash card back at the condo. Oops.
